cozy, cozy, cozy
I had a delightful stay with a warm, clean twin room that provided a lovely view of the countryside. The enthusiastic hostess made my experience even better, addressing my food intolerance with care at breakfast. It was just minutes away from the showground—perfect for my plans!
can recommend 😊❤️

absolutely shocking experience! the twin room looked nothing like the website, with poor fittings and dusty crockery. also, I thought I deserved at least a complimentary drink after dealing with a spider infestation in the room. very disappointing, I almost considered a positive review, but the reality was too upsetting to ignore.

The breakfast was delightful, served in a sunlit conservatory surrounded by lovely gardens. such a peaceful spot! the fresh milk for tea was a thoughtful touch.
The shower could use some attention, as it only provided extreme temperatures.

The fresh milk for tea was a thoughtful touch, enhancing the overall experience.
The signage to the B&B was not very clear, making it a bit difficult to find, especially at night.

although the place was quite tidy, it could do with a little refresh. the hostess was super accommodating and arranged a cozy room for us to relax after a long trip! ! the fridge in the room was a great plus, and the breakfast was really exceptional with attention to dietary needs.

Lovely stay, comfortable bed, and the shower was simply divine! The peacefulness at the top of the house was a treat, and the charming walk along the River Trent was the icing on the cake.
The place could use a splash of paint—it felt like a museum in there. the lovely host must’ve added the underfloor heating just to keep us from leaving too soon!

The twin room had a pleasant layout, with a handy microwave included. a small fridge would have enhanced the stay. Issues included an uncomfortable mattress where the springs were felt, and outdated vegan food items that were well past their expiration date. the lack of clear signage made locating the property a challenge, especially at night.

It was just a top selection for a city break in Newark-on-Trent with real value for money. The attentive service made breakfast enjoyable with a refreshing fruit salad that added a nice touch. Look for alternative entrance options if coming back late.
